Guests can fly from Wellington with Capital Air to Takaka Airfield where you will be
provided with a courtesy transfer to Song of the Tui.
Alternatively you can fly into Nelson Airport where rental
vehicles can be collected (it's best to book your vehicle in advance). Song of
the Tui is 2 hours drive from Nelson Airport.
The spectacular drive from Nelson to Golden Bay is an
experience in itself. The highlight is the scenic drive over Takaka Hill, known
as the marble mountain. There are signposted lookouts along the way and the
subterranean marvels of Harwoods Hole (176 metres deep) and the Ngarua Caves
shouldn’t be missed.
Song of the Tui also has a helipad available.
